Homemade Akok




Akok is a Kelantan famous sweet cake is suitable for breakfast, coffee-break, afternoon break and break fasting. Akok can be found at Pasar Siti Khatijah Kota Bharu. It made mainly of eggs, coconut milk and brown sugar. Because of my family likes Akok very much, so I try to make it by myself. The picture above was my first tried.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of flour
  • two glass of coconut milk (size : exactly like evaporated condensed milk tin) or one glass coconut milk + one glass of plain water.
  • five eggs
  • one cup of brown sugar
  • a bit of salt
  • pandan leave's water/green artificial
  • 1 tea spoon of vanilla essence
  • one spoon of butter/cooking oil

Preparation:

Mix gently all ingredient together. Make sure the concentration of batter is light. Pour in into muffin tray. Bake in oven with 200 degree within 5 minutes.
